Vegas Outfits

top: shein   pants: old navy   cardigan: american eagle   shoes: target    earrings: noonday

This top is my favorite shein find I think.  I love it!  These pants are the old navy rockstar pants and they are perfect amount of stretch.  I started out with dressier shoes, but knew I wouldn't be able to walk long in them.  And it's a good thing I changed because we walked over 2.5 miles that night, so the sandals were a much better choice.  They were new from Target and were pretty comfortable, until maybe hitting mile two. ;)  And my earrings are from Noonday and may be my favorite ones.

swimsuit: amazon

I love this swimsuit.  I looked at a bunch of Cupshe swimsuits on Amazon, and read the reviews first. This one had great reviews and said fit true to size, which it did.  I'm wearing a medium for reference and I feel like it will hold up this summer and be perfect to be swimming with the kids. Plus it was under $25.  And Amazon prime!

jumpsuit: jcpenney  shoes: target  bracelet: nickel & suede

This jumpsuit feels like pajamas and it so so comfortable.  And again I love these shoes.

jeans, tank top and cardigan: american eagle

I think American Eagle/Aerie has become one of my favorite places to shop, right up there with Old Navy and Target.  Their jeans are definitely may favorite and I wear this pair the most.  I've purchased most things online and they always have great sales.  I think this tank top was $10 and the cardigan $15 and both so comfortable.

Viva Las Vegas

I already feel like this was forever ago, but really was just two weeks ago.  Chris and I got to go away four days together and it was wonderful.  We haven't been on any kind of trip since having kids, only having left for less than 24 hours just a few times so this felt huge! I was nervous to leave the kids, but they did great and it was SO good for us to get away.  I still can't believe we got to go on a vacation!

Chris has an office in Vegas that he goes to a few times a year and his boss has always said he can bring me with, and everything worked out perfectly.  This was my first time going to Vegas and I don't think we could have had a better time! (Okay maybe if we had won some money, but that's about it.)

We left our house at 4:30 in the morning Thursday so got to Vegas with just about the whole day. We walked around the hotel a little bit, then got dressed and ready for dinner.  We had dinner at the Eiffel Tower restaurant and sat up high overlooking the fountains at the Bellagio (where we stayed).  They were beautiful and it was the prettiest view and probably the nicest restaurant I've ever been too. I loved every minute of it!

We walked around a little while after dinner, watched the fountains some more and went to bed! Friday morning we got room service and then Chris went to the office.  It was the only sunny day there, which was perfect because all I wanted to do was lay by the pool. It felt so warm and was such a nice change from freezing cold weather at home!  I finished my first book before lunch time.  Chris came back around lunch and we stayed at the pool for a few more hours.  I may have gotten a tiny bit sunburned but was perfectly happy about it.

Friday night we went and had drinks at a little bar in the hotel, and then went to this fancy sushi restaurant for dinner.  It was so delicious!  Chris' boss had got us tickets to see the Michael Jackson Cirque du soleil show. I have never been to a show or anything like that before.  It was loud and weird and really entertaining!  I would have seen it again, it was great!

Saturday morning we left our hotel early after breakfast and drove to Red Rock Canyon.  It was a little chilly and windy, but SO beautiful.  We climbed around all the rocks, and reached close to the top, which I was just a little proud of myself.  We walked around there for a few hours and it was so pretty.

It was so windy out when we got back that they weren't having the fountains on outside the Bellagio and the rides they have weren't running, which what we planned to do that afternoon or evening. And too cold for the pool, so we just went back to our hotel room and watched a movie and I took a nap. It was wonderful.  We went to drinks and dinner, and then got last minute tickets to another Cirque de Soleil show.  It again, was really weird, but super impressive and I loved it.

Sunday morning we left early and went to the airport home to our babies!  We had such a wonderful time, I can't say it enough.  It was such a treat to have that much time together, no major agenda and to just have fun together.  Such a good thing for our marriage!  And our kids did great while we were gone!  I'm so thankful for family that helped watch them.  What a gift to us!  And I will happily go with Chris whenever he needs to go back for a work trip. ; )

A little behind

top: c/o shein   jeans: american eagle   shoes: zulily  necklace: noonday

I finally added one of those link tree links to my instagram profile so you can find links to things I post there.  Seeing as I don't ever imagine getting that swipe up feature because you need a million followers.  Why wouldn't that be an option for everyone?  Now if I only could figure out how to get hooked up to one of those affiliate sites where I make a commission if people buy things from my links.  Do any of you use them?  It's probably pointless seeing as most things I post are pretty cheap, so I can't imagine making any kind of commission on that!  Like this knotted tee I LOVE, but it was $9, which is even more reason for you to buy it and even less reason for me to try to figure out how to use one of those sites!

Welcome back

top: c/o  shein    pants: old navy   shoes: target   necklace: noonday

It feels like our Vegas trip was forever away, when in reality it was just a week ago. This last week was an extreme in jumping right back into real life.  Like Isaac waking up at 4:45 in the morning, our heater breaking at our rental house and then our heater breaking at our current house.  Or me getting my wisdom teeth pulled on Thursday and Chris having to work his normal hours after and on Friday. Can I go back on vacation, please??

Kidding.  Mostly.  I missed my kids a ton, and will share a post this week about our trip, and about our Easter.  And maybe even someday Isaac's birthday party which I have yet to do!

I've ordered quite a bit of shirts from shein, but this one is one of my all time favorites.  It's really soft, only $13 and works for what should be Spring now but is really still Winter, and will be great whenever the weather decides to get warmer! I love the rolled sleeves on the side and want it in another color now too.

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend!
