My girls (I have a 3 yr old and a 21 month old) are up bright and early, around 5:45 or 6:00 most mornings, so by 8:00 we are itching to leave! We do a lot of what you two do - parks, the library, our neighborhood pool, grocery stores, Target, coffee shops, etc.

We try to be home no later than noon for lunch and naps. If I'm lucky, they'll sleep from 12:45 til 3:30! On those days, we stay home until my husband is home. If they're up early we'll venture to another store, Chick fil A for ice cream and play, the bookstore, etc.

Little ones sure keep you busy!!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09797935067074705329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4922558431228740835.post-61320925503472106742015-06-16T15:31:11.343-05:002015-06-16T15:31:11.343-05:00Making sure we get out of the house at least once ...Making sure we get out of the house at least once a day is my main priority. I have no idea how to maintain the energy to entertain a 10 month old at our house alone for more than an hour. We do the park as often as possible, and I try to set up as many playdates as possible. We moved a few months ago so i'm trying to find new friends, lol. it's work!! We run lots and lots of errands. Trader Joes and Target are our favs. Actually, any place with food. Haha, it gets me in trouble because our pantry is exploding! I've tried baking with him but he isn't interested and painting holds his attention for about 3.5 seconds. plus, he still likes to put everything in his mouth :/ I'm hoping to get him signed up for a gym class soon!jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07353964050059215116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4922558431228740835.post-35032265709259388382015-06-16T12:52:01.038-05:002015-06-16T12:52:01.038-05:00I just love her little ponytail! I can't imagine I would like being stuck inside the house all day either. The Lady Okiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00453607710629077945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4922558431228740835.post-32658434589935628722015-06-15T20:02:07.107-05:002015-06-15T20:02:07.107-05:00We have a splash pad a mile away that my kids like...We have a splash pad a mile away that my kids like. It's in a park, so we bounce between the playground and the water. It works great! If we want to venture further out, we go to my sister's pool or my parents' cottage.shelleystirshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13432828910756626158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4922558431228740835.post-71952519043479580082015-06-15T19:52:39.314-05:002015-06-15T19:52:39.314-05:00Yeah that library is legit- who has libraries like...Yeah that library is legit- who has libraries like that around them! Lol. Jealous. I also have struggled with the need to get out all the time but we are doing better at home (especially since brother needs to sleep). Truly independent play started happening at around between 21-24 months for us and Addy loves being in the other room with her toys now. I still try to play as much as possible but it is nice. I think you have to allow them to get bored and maybe a little frustrated to spark that initiative on their end to make up games. If they are constantly entertained they may not ever feel the need to truly create play.
We don't have much to add to the list but things like farmers market or we have a huge local farm that has food trucks and such on the weekend. Also our local grocery store is doing a healthy snack program for kids this summer - although we haven't been yet...Briahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10001827063669436802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4922558431228740835.post-82861861229061229132015-06-15T18:43:44.289-05:002015-06-15T18:43:44.289-05:00Oh my goodness, you two are so so active and that ...Oh my goodness, you two are so so active and that library sounds amazing!Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14585681189196096870noreply@blogger.com
