Don't you wish I was talking about a $1,000 giveaway?
Me too.
Instead I'm asking you this:
Want to know a fun way to spend $1,000?
Don't buy a refrigerator.
Because it is not fun.
A long weekend away in Lake Geneva.
A shopping spree, purchasing these items and many more.
Many sushi dinners:
Plane tickets to visit my favorite little boy and girl.
Sometimes being an adult and owning a house is a bummer.
On a more exciting note I'm doing a giveaway on Much Love Illy's blog. Check it out!

A fridge does not sound like fun haha
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! Sometimes being a home owner comes with a lot of expenses!! But it's worth it at the end of the day. :) Enjoy that new fridge, girl! :) xx.

Oh I'm sorry Katie! It's always something with a house, huh? Our sprinkler system has given us lots of trouble lately and we hate sinking so much money into it :(.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit as usual!! Still want that bubble necklace!
Awwww, I hate stupid expenses! We had to replace something with our furnace and it was super expensive! I always think of all the ways I'd rather spend that money!
ReplyDeleteWe don't own our home here but the one we rent did not have a fridge. So yeah, we spent that on a fridge 2 years ago.
ReplyDeleteI don't like being an adult.
Being grown up sucks! We have a $500 car deductible to pay and as much as I love my baby, diapers are no fun to piss away money on... no pun intended ;) ok maybe..
ReplyDeleteCute outfit! Similar to what I did with my maxi dress! Makes me feel fashionable : )
ReplyDeleteyou look fab! and yes, being an adult is TOTES a bummer sometimes. like spending $1,000 in car repairs. WORST.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you. :(
ReplyDeleteDo you get told a jillion times that your husband looks like Duff from Ace of Cakes?
Boo, that sounds like zero fun to me. But you look fabulous, as usual!!!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree.. MUCH better ways to spend 1,000! Well, more fun anywho.
ReplyDeleteaw man, that's not a fun way to spend $1,000! Being a home owner can suck, but it's way better than being in an apartment! The hubs and I are currently on the house search :) LOVE the color of your bubble necklace. It's perfect with the pink stripes!

We had out fridge go out a couple of months ago. Couldn't live out of a cooler forever,(I tried!) so we gave in and bought a new one. Bummed because we almost had our lowes cars paid off!
ReplyDeleteHa, I've been married too long...I would kill for the new stainless frig with the extra drawer! LOL
ReplyDeleteI have not seen those pictures of Travis and Lena. What other ones am I missing? I'd rather spend money on a fridge than the dentist or furnace. At least you can see what you bought.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more on your choices of buys over the refrigerator. I LOVE your bubble necklace!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine exactly how you feel! That's how I feel, but mostly about car repairs, because we don't own anything else besides our cars, yet. The sad part of being grown up is truly spending huge chunks of money on stuff you wish you didn't have to bother with in the first place.
ReplyDeleteUghh...I HATE having to spend money on useful/house stuff, haha :) At least your food will be stylin'? Love the stripes & maxi Katie - so cute!

The Other Side of Gray
Yep....that stuff would definitely be more appealing!! Sometimes I think, I'm not a grown up yet!! Why do I have to buy these things??!
ReplyDeletelove your cute and comfy outfit! and great shopping spree buys! :)

Oh no! Sorry to hear you had to replace your fridge. My parents recently had to as well and my dad was complaining about how it was the quickest $1000 he'd ever spent. On the upside, you own a home! :D
ReplyDeleteI love that mint necklace, you pair colors so well.
Oh dear! I hope this doesn't mean you can't go to sushi dinners :-(

Oh no, that stinks! And this is also one of the reasons why we rent an apartment :)

ReplyDeleteyou are so beautiful!:)
ReplyDeleteYep, being a grown up with a home isn't always the most fun! Sorry you had to get a new fridge instead of a bunch of necklaces! ;) Going to check out your giveaway now!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I hate when I have to spend big money on something not fun. But you sure look cute with your stripes and statement necklace. Love that color!

Ugh....don't you just hate those "adult" purchases?! This summer we finally had to give in and buy a whole new furnace and AC system. Ummm....yeah that was like 4k I wish I could have done ALOT more with!!!! Love all your necklaces:)
ReplyDeleteLove the skirt!
ReplyDeleteAnd the kids are so cute :)
xoxo
No fun! Next time you want to spend $1000, just give it to me and I'll buy fun stuff with it :)

I hate when that happens. ;) While we were in seminary we got a random check in the mail for a couple of hundred dollars as a gift. We were thrilled cause seminary equals broke. Then the next day my tire blew in my car and we had just enough to replace them. (God provides, but being a grown up still sucks sometimes.) ;)
ReplyDeleteOn a happier note, I love your bright stripes and pretty maxi! So cute! ;) And at least you get to enjoy a new fridge, right?
Is it weird that my first thought was that I would get a treadmill? Even though that's not fun either, but I've really wanted one forever? Endless sushi would be a good substitute too ... ;o)
ReplyDeleteOh bless you- fridge purchases dipping into clothing/statement necklace purchases is NEVER fun! Hope you get to feeling better, too!

Great outfit! Love that statement necklace!!
ReplyDeleteUm yeah, I totally hear ya. We are now converting our oil heat to gas, which is going to be crazy expensive. It's a lot more boring than it sounds, really.
