This and That

striped dress
target t-shirt dress
dress: target (recently $15)   sandals: target   necklace: old navy

In the past I think I would've thought this dress was too baggy and too long.  I originally bought this dress a size smaller and returned it because having to suck in all the time is so not comfortable.  Turns out long and baggy is much more my style these days.  Unflattering or not.  Not sure.  Comfort wins.

(both headbands from sweet angel kreations)

HELP! I can't stop buying headbands for Addilyn.  Everytime I buy one I tell myself that is the last one.  But then the next one is the last one.  I keep finding deals on instagram shops or those deal a day sites that suck me in.  But no more headbands.  For now.

I stopped regularly checking the stats on my blog.  I used to check them every day.  Maybe sometimes more than once.  Turns out that was partly taking the joy out of it for me and in my attempt to blog less, enjoy other things more, that was not a good use of my time or thoughts.  See ya later stats.  I don't like your abbreviation anyway.

My new Intel Tablet.  I somehow got lucky enough to try out this tablet and share with you.  As soon as I got it charged I downloaded my must have apps.  Netflix.  Instagram.  Pinterest.  Also uploaded my books from my kindle to it.  Hello new pre bedtime routine, which could easily include all four of those things.  It's big enough to watch Netflix videos on, but small and light enough to put in my purse or diaper bag if I wanted to bring it somewhere.  I've already used it while cooking a recipe in my kitchen, checking instagram pictures, watching a show while I run on the treadmill.  I am loving it!!

My new favorite show is 19 kids and Counting.  I love them and wish I wasn't caught up with recent episodes.

I made this M&M Monster Dip this week and wish you'd come eat the rest of it so it wasn't in my fridge.
Happy weekend!

  1. That dress looks super comfy. If you want to jump it up you could always put a cute belt with it.

  3. When I saw the photo of you in your dress in my feed, I thought it looked so comfy. I also love my tablet--I have a kindle fire.

  4. Checking your stats regularly can get obsessive really fast. I probably check mine every week or so, but I don't spend too much time thinking about it. It's more fun that way :)

  5. I think the dress looks perfect for chasing around a baby. Personally I love my dresses to be a little big. Maybe it is because I am on the taller side so bigger means covering all my lady parts but still. It is much easier to chase the kiddos around when I am less worried about how much of my baby pouch you can see.

  9. I love wearing those types of dresses in the summer. Simple, but cute...plus they make me feel like I actually put some effort into getting dressed. :)

  12. I think the dress looks really good. I almost bought some sandals in Target the other day. But, just like you taught me, I'll wait for the price to drop :)

  13. I know what you mean about blog stats. I HATE how obsessed I used to be (and sometimes still am) about stats. So dumb!

  14. I love your dress!! It looks perfect and comfy for summer. I like the fit, too. Your bright necklace and sparkly sandals are the perfect accessories. Little girls and headbands are an expensive hobby! I can totally relate to your struggle. There seems to be a never ending supply of darling ones and I'm tempted everyday to buy new ones.

  15. I love Addilyn's headbands! She's too cute! And isn't it freeing to not check the stats so much? I got really down in a rut this winter and finally stopped (for the most part) and it feels so much better!

  17. I'm all about comfort these days. I guess it has something to do with having two small babies!!! That dress is super cute on you :)

I never check stats. I mostly just post as a journal type thing for myself anyway. If people read, that is just a bonus!!

  18. I've definitely noticed your blogging schedule change in my daily blog roll, but I hope you're enjoying less time spent on here! And I think the dress looks great! All my clothes these days are based on how they'll look on this post-baby body. The baggier the better! Haha Happy Friday!

  19. I don't blame you for being addicted to buying those headbands. I would do the same if I had a pretty little model like her. ;)

  20. I think the dress looks great! The long baggy style has really become more common, and I know that I’ve got a couple of dresses that fit me similarly. Those headbands are too cute as well! As for the tablet, do you find it more comfortable to watch Netflix on than a laptop? I’ve been considering getting one, but would use it to watch shows in bed, mostly.
