A few confessions

dress & shoes: target

This dress is about a fourth an inch away from being too short to wear without leggings.

After I bought this on clearance at Target I realized I have two other grey t-shirt like dresses.  But of course none just like this.  Plus it was only $8.

I have become a big fan of wearing baseball hats and would like to add a monogram hat to my collection of one.  Hats give me a permission to not wash my hair and to cover my tired eyes.

I've used the word paci a handful of times this last week.  Everytime it comes out of my mouth I cringe.  I hate the word paci but why is it so much easier to say then pacifier?

We had a new couple over for dinner the other night and thanks to miscommunication I pretty much invited myself to her baby shower this last weekend.  I obviously declined and didn't go, as that would be very weird seeing as we just met.

The only tv show I watch these days is Scandal and I love it.  I am on season 3 and have every intention of finishing it before new episodes come on.

I feel like I see it often where moms post pictures of their babies and kids sleeping and say that they miss them when they are in bed.  I do not miss Addilyn when she is asleep.  I love when she takes naps and I love when she goes to bed.  I absolutely love spending time with her but my whole self is happy when she is sleeping.  I'm pretty convinced those moms are lying.

  1. I have never missed my kids while they are sleeping. I am so thankful for the break.

I think I bought this same dress and when I went to bend over I decided it needed to go back. Not kid friendly on my 5'9 frame. Which is a bummer because I really liked the fit.

  4. Cute dress and hat! I can't pull off a basebal hat.

Haha love that you invited yourself to a baby shower!

I do miss my baby when he's sleeping which is crazy bc I usually get to see him multiple times during the night! It's not a rational thing. 😴

  6. We used the word pipie for pacifier back in the day.

And even though my children are (almost) 10, 7, and 3, I LOVE their bedtime. And I miss the days of naps!

  7. i posted a picture of octavian sleeping the other day. I love when he naps- it's definitely my favorite time of day (most of the time). However, I do understand the missing thing- but, I don't miss him being awake. as a mom to a child who doesn't cuddle, i would love to crawl in bed with him and just lay there and , who knows, maybe even sleep. that (crazy) talk aside,I definitely need that break during the day when he naps. I'm a person that, before having him, spent a lot of time alone. It's been a really hard adjustment.

Love the baseball cap! I wish I could pull it off!

  8. We used paci because all the kids I babysat had a "paci" back in the day.

I don't miss my son when he sleeps, either. It's good for both of us, and it's definitely my recharge time!

Also, YES to Scandal! I can't wait for it to come back!

  10. I know what you mean about sleeping kids. For me, though, when I see my kids sleeping, they look so sweet, and I forget about the fights they got in together, or the talking back they did a few hours ago. Kids are always on their best behavior when they are sleeping!!!

  12. haha, I also hate the word paci...but what I hate more is when my mom refers to the pacifier as a choy-choy...yea she does and I cringe every single time.

  13. We always said Binky. Another silly word I know. As for the moms who miss their children when they are sleeping? Depends on the day. I love nap time. I miss my older son when he's at school though. I trust less than 2% of Facebook posts. They are there for show. Haha
