Things that make me cry . . . .

I should make a disclaimer that I promise I have weeks where I don't shed a tear.  Multiple weeks actually.  Then out of nowhere one thing leads to another and emotional overload.  Last week was proof:

Hearing Christmas music in Target.

Frustration over Addilyn's sleep struggles and the fact that she is sick again.

This video of a dad who took a 15 second video clip of his daughter from birth to age 14.

Feeling lonely and overly sensitive in regards to current friendships.

Looking at these pictures of Addilyn, and thinking about how much I love her.

This blog post sharing 35 moms bragging about their awesome mom skills.

The rockettes dancing on the today show.

Yep.  Tears.  Real tears.  Clearly I am extremely excited for Christmas this year.

Now give me something somewhat irrational that made you cry recently.

  1. Sorry this post made me smile because I've been feeling the same lately! No actual tears but feeling overwhelmed! My son has missed school four times in the last two weeks because of sickness and my daughter has been having sleep troubles too! We switched her to a toddler bed this weekend which has actually helped a ton and I keep telling myself that I'm grateful for the extra time with my son (even though he needs every ounce of attention ALL day long) :)

  2. I seriously cry about everything all the time, whether it is actually sad or heartwarming or funny or whatever. My whole family does. We are all extremely emotional and quick to cry. I can relate to all of this!

  5. Why the awesome Mom post?

Hmmm. I kind of do cry often but I seriously can't think of anything lately. That's really odd for me! Crazy.

  6. Your Nov. 16 post on "mixed emotions" brought tears to my eyes. It's only something that can be truly understood by those who have walked that horrible path. And man alive, almost teared up again over the mention of sensitivity with current friendships. Why is it so dang hard as adults to maintain good friendships? I feel ya girl. Sending hugs....

  9. Same here girly. You have no idea how many things get me teary eyed - I'm such an emotional person and I just can't help it. It's mostly me realizing just how fast time is flying. I miss my childhood, I miss my 20s, I miss being with my family over the holidays, I miss my girlfriends back home. Levi and Lily are getting so big so quickly & it scares the crap out of me. Gah, I could totally bore you with it all but just know you're not alone. Sending you the warmest of hugs :))

  10. I cry irrationally pretty much all the time. All sports stories--even teams I don't care a thing about. Worship songs. Pretty much anything; my husband always asks, "Are you going to cry?"
