I think I used to think fake plants were old lady-ish and definitely not appealing for my house. But I either was looking at the wrong fake plants, or styles have changed, because I love them now and want my house filled with them. Because I certainly can't keep real things alive. I actually kept this succulent plant thing alive for four months and I was incredibly proud of that, but that's the only success on my list. So fake plants it is. I've found a handful that I love, and I feel like look real and have made my space happier!
I think the greenery brightens up the space and it makes me happy, which should be the highest criteria in decorating your home right? I recently got these two little olive trees and they're currently in our bedroom.
We haven't done a ton in this room since we moved and I have lots of ideas, but thanks to time and money we'll have to wait a little while. I kind of want to get rid of this big mirror and move the sign that's above our bed over the dresser. Because moving things you already own doesn't cost money, right? I think it would look cute between the two plants, and I already have a standing mirror so do not really need it!

I do not have fake plants, but I think that it is nice thing for decoration.
ReplyDeleteI Love the small fake plants from Ikea - I have them all over my house!
ReplyDeleteI am soooo with you on this one! Beautiful decor !
ReplyDeleteI have a fake orchid... because my cats ate the real ones. I've been trying succulents - everyone says they are easy, but I don't get the right light for them and mine are dying... so I'm considering fake succulents...
ReplyDeleteI have fake flowers in our family room, but when it comes to simple, green plants, I prefer live. Of course, with kids and dogs, we don't have many of those. ;) Just one that has magically remained in tact by our family room windows. I love those olive trees!
