High Five for Friday

sweater: DIY  chambray shirt: old navy ($15)  pants: target ($13)  boots: dsw (similar)

1.  I made this heart sweater last year and am still loving it. Loving that it cost me $8 too! Check out the tutorial here

2.  When I was training for a marathon I often made smoothies and added protein powder to it, but that was the only time I ever thought about doing it.  I want to do a better job taking supplements or vitamins, plus I think just doing it would automatically make me feel healthier, right?   I'm thinking adding something like Bio-K+ supplements to a smoothie recipe like this, which I've made before, would be a good idea.

Almonds, cooked oatmeal, bananas and yogurt meet up in your blender for a power breakfast.

3. This picture on pinterest really made my laugh this week.
Especially with the caption:  full body sweater for when you're having one of those days.

Full-Body Sweater for when you're just having one of those days.

4.  So happy and thankful for my birthday presents this year.  You would think I must have told my family somethings that I wanted or something?  Two favorites are these necklaces.  One from my parents and one from Chris.

5. I think I have the funniest nephew in the world.  He recently started pooping on the toilet and today he said, "Mama, I know you are excited when I poop on the toilet.  But please don't clap and cheer anymore.  Just say, 'That's correct.'

So happy I get to see his sweet face one week from tonight.

Happy Friday friends! Hope you have a great weekend.

High 5 for Friday

As I get farther into the school year, I'm becoming more and more grateful for weekends.
Here's to a big high five for Friday!

pants: NY &Co  shirt: old navy  necklace: DIY  watch: target (similar)

1. I know I just posted an outfit with these red pants, but here they are again.
They are just too comfortable to not wear often!
(And I'm well aware I should hem these pants.)

2. A student saw this picture on the bulletin board by my desk at school and asked me,
"Is that black and white because that's all they had back then?"

Yep. Back in May. When I was 100 years old.

3.  I used to never be a fan of spending money on jewelry, but lately that is all I want!
First I got my mini bubble necklace, and last week I bought a tear drop statement necklace.
Next I want some kind of key necklace and I am loving this one

4.  I made these cookies this week and they were delicious.

Pretzel Cookies with Chocolate & Peanut Butter Chips Okay I think I'm in heaven now

5.  I am beyond excited that new shows have started this week.
Parenthood tops the list as one of my favorites.

I'm also looking forward to Survivor, Parks and Recreation, and New Girl.
What show are you most excited about?

Happy Weekend!
