Like a few weeks ago when he said,
"I was surprised so many people said they liked this outfit. I think it looks silly."
And here is another example:
I bought these wedges for under $4 at Old Navy a year or so ago.
They felt really high for me at first, so I wasn't quite sure how often I'd wear them.
And truthfully I've only worn them a few times because I'm having a hard time finding how to wear them.
A few weeks after I bought them Chris and I were at Old Navy and we walked passed these shoes and he said, "Those are SO ugly, who would buy them?"
"Um. . .. I already did."
Needless to say he couldn't understand why I would and thankfully I could justify it by saying it was cheaper than his lunch that day.
Haha...I get that from my boyfriend all the time! They just understand :)

Men will never understand. I love your shoes. That price is even better! Love the outfit!
ReplyDeleteLove these shoes! I have the light gray pair myself. I'm kind of stuck, too...I only wear them with pants. Either skinnies rolled up like you or wide legged.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE those greeny gray wedges- $4!??!?!? You are awesome. I bow down to you, bargaingoddess ;)

haha my husband does that all the time to me!! but i like them, old navy has such cute shoes!
ReplyDeleteI really like those shoes.
ReplyDeleteI am having deja vu ;) back to our conversation the other day. Don't worry dear, you rock those outfits! Cute!
ReplyDeletethose bootie wedges are adorable!!! my husband and i don't always agree on fashion either, you are not alone haha!!
ReplyDeleteI think I like them. Maybe they'd look good with bootcut jeans? Love the bright outfit he didn't like.
ReplyDeletehahahaha. He cracks me up!
ReplyDeletei have a thing for "ugly shoes" . my sister always teases me that "ugly shoes" are like stay dogs to me, i feel the need to give them a home . :)
ReplyDeleteHaha this made me laugh. I can't believe the good deals you find!! And I also admire your boldness to try new things with fashion. I would never know how to wear those shoes but you pull them off with this outfit. Don't listen to Chris :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny- my boyfriend (also named Chris!) does the same thing. He makes fun of me for saying "that's the STYLE, Chris" whenever we're out and he sees something "ugly". Guys just know nothing! And I love those shoes!
ReplyDeleteOh husbands!!! Gotta love 'em. Have a good week lady!
ReplyDeleteJim and I also differ dramatically. For example, he thinks colored skinny jeans are "ridiculous." Seriously though, what do they know?! You are so stylish and you rock those $4 shoes. I mean, I bet you got more compliments on them than he got on his lunch! : )

ReplyDeleteThose shoes are DARLING! They're so so cute. I found you through the GFC blog hop, and I'm loving your blog so far! Your outfits are adorable, and I too am obsessed with statement necklaces. Like a lot.
ReplyDeleteI'm your newest follower :) Entered the giveaway too!

As you said last week, fashion advice from boys usually makes no sense.
ReplyDeleteI'd have trouble styling those too though!
I think you styled those wedges perfectly! I've had a similar pair for 2 years and never wear them because I don't know how to style them either...but you make me want to break them out :)

The Other Side of Gray
haha, this made me laugh because my husband can be the same way about my fashion...the thing is, they just don't know! some things dan used to HATE now he likes simply because he's seen me wear it a few times. for example, my new owl sweater that dan hates will probably be his favorite in a month. because i intend to wear it ALL. THE. TIME. :)
ReplyDeleteHhahah I have similar shoes and my hubs doesn't like them either! I love them and they are actually quite comfortable! I say rock 'em girl!
ReplyDeleteHahaha guys crack me up! I like the shoes!
ReplyDeleteHaha, you and Chris are so funny. When I ask my husband what he thinks of something, he'll say "do you want me to be honest, or do you want me to answer a certain way". Oh men.
ReplyDeleteHave a very happy Thanksgiving my friend! :)

That's hilarious... my husband is the same way. Only his famous line is, "It'll have to grow on me." And it usually does =) But, like you, I have the comeback that I paid so little for my stuff that he can't really complain. Love the outfits!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I am lucky...my hubby tells me I look cute no matter what I'm wearing :)

ReplyDeleteLove your blog! :)
Both pairs of shoes/outfits are adorable!! Hopefully they will grow on your hubs or else you'll just have to know that you've got better taste in shoes than he does :)
ReplyDeleteHaha my husband does this when we're shopping, I'll show him something i love and he'll be really skeptical about it, and then when I wear it he'll change his mind. Silly husband ;)

I love when my husband has opinions about my clothes, while he's decked out in team apparel 24/7. Hahaha! Love both pairs of shoes ;)
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! I wanted those Old Navy shoes in the last pictures, but the sold out!! men, what do they know!! Maybe they should read some blogs!! LOL! You look great in both outfits and I would wear them both in a heartbeat!!
ReplyDeleteHaha! That is funny! Men will never get fashion.
ReplyDeleteWell I like them too!!
ReplyDeleteHaha men...
ReplyDeletedon't worry, you aren't the only one out there that this happens to. My boyfriend has been telling me I dress like a grandma. I beg to differ.
ReplyDeletehahahah i LOVE those shoes and i totally know that my fashion is a WIN when my husband goes, "UGH what is that?!"
ReplyDeleteGarrett quite often questions the things I like and what is considered "fashionable". Oh well, they are boys! I like the shoes and I love the polka dot/mustard jeans combo!
