If I'm being honest

top: loft   shoes: target  pants: kohls   necklace:  groopdealz

I'm only looking down in these pictures to avoid the mess that is my bangs today.  They are too long.  And when I tried to curl them I failed and kept getting a terrible dent in them.  However now you see my grown out roots.  Lose lose I guess.

I have found a new stress reliever.  Groopdealz.  I can't stop looking at their site and wanting everything. Thankfully I restrain myself most days, but couldn't pass up this necklace.  I got two for $12.  If you don't know about groopdealz you need to check them out.  Plus if you follow this link you can get $5 off your first purchase.  (Okay, and I will $5 too.)

I still don't feel like myself after having a baby.  I really thought passed the six week mark the uncomfortable post pregnancy symptoms would be gone.  While better, I still feel like these lingering annoyances are going to stick around for awhile.  Nursing pads, spit up, and poor bladder control make me feel not so hot most days.

If I wouldn't have cropped this picture you would have seen my dog pooping in the background.

I forget about twitter about 95% of the time.  My blog, facebook and instagram is enough social media for me.

Speaking of social media, when I'm up in the middle of the night feeding Addilyn, I'm always seriously disappointed to check my instagram or facebook feed and see only a few new posts.  So please.  Post away.

  2. You look gorgeous!!! Adorable outfit & love those jeans on you! Once again I'll say it.. You hardly look as if you just had a baby!

  3. I'm pretty sure I just bought those jeans at Kohl's for $9.60 (and 30% off!). Love the look :)

  4. It took me about six months after both my babies before I felt like myself again. And then, once I stopped nursing, I felt even more "normal" (though you know how sad I felt about that too!) If it helps, you look amazing and beautiful, and (if possible) even more stunning than before you had Addilyn.

  6. Groopdealz is a killer for me, too. I am getting better at restraint, but sometimes the deals are just too good! Can't remember how long it took to get back to "normal" after-baby. I loved nursing, but was glad when it was time to wean...felt so much more normal after that :)

  8. Everytime I IG post I'll think of you now :) And you look amazing, Addilyn seems like she is in the best hands and your little family is beautiful! Don't worry girl, from the outside, none of us would ever think the "post pregnancy symptoms" were still prevalent!!

  9. Seriously, I NEVER check Twitter. Only FB, blogs, and Instagram! :) And Groopdealz is so addicting. Have you been to Very Jane? Get READY. I've never purchased anything but... not sure how long that'll last!

  12. It takes a long time to feel like yourself after having a baby...so don't think you're alone in that. With Charlie, it took me a while...mainly because not only has your body just gone through a crazy change...your life has as well. It was a little easier with Walker to get back to normal, because I knew what to expect...and I was already in the "parenting" mode.

    You look fantastic, Katie!

  14. I love Groopealz too and I think you look great! I love your hair - I think roots are cool and chic! You wear it well. My daughter is 12 and I never got that feeling that my old body was back. I learned to accept the new body and move forward - though the poor bladder control stinks! You are beautiful - just know that! Blessings! Susan

  15. Well even if you don't feel so hot or like yourself, you look great! And life is a beautiful thing, but sometimes it includes some not-so-beautiful things, too that happen to be totally normal (like realizing your dog is pooping in your picture :) )

    Love that polka dotted top!

  17. I'm sorry you're not feeling 100% yourself yet but I hope things start to get more normal again soon! That is so funny that your dog was popping on the pic!

  23. haha...so funny about social media! i used to read pinterest during 2 am feedings for the same reason.

I didn't really feel like my "old" self until my babies were sleeping though the night. A full nights rest can do wonders friend. :)

p.s. if i am being honest i dont really understand twitter.????

  28. Despite how you feel, you look great! The spit up does get annoying after awhile though.

When my bangs don't behave, they get pinned back. I actually found they behave a little better when they are a tad longer- I think due to my cowlick.

Oh the middle of the night social media check ins during feedings- don't miss those days but they will be back soon. At least they are accompanied by a squishy little baby!
