tee: old navy skirt: target ($10) boots: target ($9 last year)
I know I am well behind this fashion trend, but this is the first time I've worn my booties without pants or tights. Let me first start out by saying I dislike the term booties and feel quite silly using it. Unless I'm referring to something to go on a baby's feet.
I've tried a few times to wear these shoes without pants and just didn't feel like I could pull it off. Well I finally decided to give it a try and I think I'm a fan. I'm probably just in time for it not to be trendy anymore.
Now something that isn't new is the wrinkles in my skirt. I'm holding steady to my no ironing behaviors and there is no change in site.
I LOVE this look! I feel like I would do the same thing and buy some "booties" and then never wear them because I wouldn't feel like they worked, but you are rocking it girl! I this is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteYou pulled off the booties perfectly!! :)

Skirts and booties are still in, in my book. Love the look.
ReplyDeleteHow funny I suddenly decided today that I need to get my some booties (yes, I'm always late to trends too)I checked out some at ON and Target but didn't see any for the price that you scored your;s at. You a;ways score the bargains!! They look cute with the skirt-you pull it off well.
ReplyDeleteyou definitely pulled it off! i haven't gotten brave enough to do it without pants or leggings yet, but you may have just given me the inspiration i need :) haha

Love the look!
ReplyDeleteI'm on a desperate search for affordable (read:cheap) booties like yours! I can't believe you got them for 9 dollars! If only we had a target in Holland...
I've been eyeing up those skirts at Target, but I never found them for less than $15 :( I have the same booties in black and I don't see myself wearing them without tights...these look good though!
ReplyDeleteLove this look on you....hum I didn't even know they are called booties...I call them ankle boots but then I do not really have a style..I am a bit behind in trends and tend to wear the same thing over!!
ReplyDeleteI have been not ironing anything either :)
I have those same booties but in the kids version :) I tend to wear them with pants since I feel like my ankles look weird when I wear them with a skirt/dress.

When the bootie trend first came out I wasn't a fan, but little by little I have become one...and I wish I had a pair! BTW, I'm glad you are holding steady with not ironing. I'm in the same boat. :)
ReplyDeletehaha i love it- who has time to iron?! and i loooove those booties! so cute!
ReplyDeleteYay!! Someone else who hates the term "booties" I can barely get myself to type it, and I'll just say ankle boots if I'm referring to something on my own feet! :P
ReplyDeleteCute cute cute!!! And don't worry, I just jumped on the bootie train a couple of months ago ;)
ReplyDeleteCute boots!!
ReplyDeleteI vote yes, I love them with the skirt!

Very cute.
ReplyDeleteYou are really pulling those off. I don't think my giant calves can handle booties. It would just make them look even bigger!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit. I think I need a pair of booties! Haha, that is a ridiculous word for a grown ups shoes.
ReplyDeleteI'm still working on being comfortable with the booties look. I have been wearing mine a lot lately, in hopes that it will start feeling more natural. Hope you were able to order the black ones!
ReplyDeleteCute!! I am rocking a similar look today as well! Ugh who has time to iron? Not me.
ReplyDeleteI love the boots and skirt. Great outfit.
ReplyDeleteYour absolutely stunning. The end.
