Help me!

Three crucial questions for you.
1. I am aware that I am not getting any younger. The other weekend I had a conversation with my girlfriends about wrinkles, make up routines and skin care. I am in desperate need of help in this area. I'm thinking now it the time to start using anti wrinkle cream or eye cream or whatever you all use. So tell me. What creams do you use? (And if they cost more than $30 nevermind. Don't tell me. I'll take the wrinkles.)
2. I am getting my hair done in two weeks and kind of want to do something new. I would love to have blond blond hair, but for whatever reasons (hormones, hard water) my hair turns this coppery orange color after a few weeks of blond hair. So I'm thinking of dying it darker again. Do I keep it this length? Cut it? Help.
3. I want a new blog design. Something simplier. Do you know a good, affordable blog designer you've used? Tell me please!
Thank you!
wish you luck sweetie.
ReplyDeleteAwww!!! You do not need wrinkle cream....and I love going blonder with warmer weather! Also....hands down best affordable blog designer is JANA TOLMAN!!!

Even though I'm in my mid-twenties I've been looking into many different "anti-aging" skincare products & have been taking better care of my skin. I'd invest in a good serum & firming moisturizer that you can easily add to your routine. If you don't want to spend more than $30 I'd definitely recommend shopping some of the drugstore brands, which are remarkably great quality.
ReplyDeleteI think Erin at Love, Fun and Football does relatively inexpensive blog designs!
ReplyDeleteAnd I use Ole Henriskon's Truth Serum which is $46 at Sephora BUT it last me 9 months so, I can justify the price but....I think it's just vitamin C so...you could just use vitamin c. lol
I've been using a few items from Boots No. 7 and really like them. They have it at Ulta and Target and Ulta often runs them buy one get one half off.
ReplyDeleteAnother vote for Erin @ Love Fun & Football for blog design!
ReplyDeleteAs for wrinkle cream, I just started thinking about this as well since I've been noticing the wrinkles around my eyes. I picked up Olay's Regenerist from Target which was on sale for only $15 down from $22 *score*. I've heard nothing but amazing things about this so I'm looking forward to some results.
I just opened my blog design website over the weekend! I would love to help you out with your new design! I have packages for $40 & $60 and would work out a deal since you'd be my first client! :)

Hey Katie! As friends, I'm just saying I do some blog design (click my side link for blog design on my page) but if my style's not your style, no worries. There are some examples there and I have an opening for March. Also, I love you so much as blonde! And I don't think it's coppery at all. Also, you dress reminds me of your daughters curtains ;) in a good way! <3
ReplyDeleteAnother vote for Erin! She is great and so sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteMy co-worker and I just had the whole "I'm thinking I should start this whole wrinkle cream thing now" convo a few days ago so if you find something that works, please do share!
ReplyDeleteI think you should go darker with your hair. It will bring out your eyes and really like the lenght you have now!
I want to CHOP my hair!! I'm thinking maybe after summer, though. Just think...You'll want to pull it up at the pool :)
ReplyDeleteHow much do you want to spend on your blog design?
I vote short and dark for the hair! I'm currently going through that dilemma, too!! I want to keep it blonde but hate paying the price and I feel like the hard water turns it dark anyway.
ReplyDeleteMy sister in law, Erin (Love, Fun and Football) does it really inexpensive and is amazing!!
Sometimes I feel like we are the same person. I could echo all three of these! Going to poach the comment advice now, if you don't mind. :)
ReplyDelete1. I'm obsessed with your dress! Elephants!!
ReplyDelete2. I love you blonde :)
3. My blog is in desperate need of a makeover and I just don't want to spend the money on it. I think it's time to finally bite the bullet and just do it!
It looks cold up there

Acure Organics- the whole line is great! I use the day cream, eye cream and face wash. You can get it at whole foods or amazon - I buy it from both depending on who has it cheaper. Avoid brands that use "water" as an ingredient - waste of money.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.designerblogs.com/ has amazing designs for cheap. You can install some of them on your own and they are like $15!
ReplyDeleteYou are beautiful...but I use Burt's Bees wrinkle cream and its amazing!! Not too expensive either!!
I like your hair this length! Just remember you can always dye it again if you don't like it!! :)
Crap, do I need wrinkle cream too??
ReplyDeleteI really love your hair blonde...especially since spring is coming! I think it's nice to stay light in the spring/summer and go darker in the fall/winter.

Hard water is a big problem for blondes--one of my little cousins it a natural blonde and her hair turns orange from their well water. There are different shampoos you can use, as well as the same kind of treatments that blondes use after swimming to keep their hair from turning green, those work with orange hair due to hard water too. But if you don't want to deal with it, brunette can be a good way to go! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit. Regarding your hair it may be hormones or she may just have to use a different brand and/or colour on you. For blog design, sit down and think of what you want your blog to reflect to others. Regarding wrinkles, it's more about taking care of your skin then wrinkle cream. Try drinking more water, clean your face every night, and moisturize and exfoliate. Wrinkle creams are supposed to be a waste of money. Origins has a great skin care line. Good luck Katie.

I have a couple of friends who swear by Mary Kay's eye cream, I really need to order some because my eyes are definitely starting to show my age :( I adore this dress here, it is so fun!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, LOVE LOVE LOVE this dress!! I clicked on the link, but couldn't find it! :( I am much older than you and haven't started the wrinkle regimen yet...so no help there. I do think you should keep your length and try to go as light as you can without it turning copper...it would be fun for spring. My sister had this same issue with her hair and ended up having to wash it with bottle water. YIKES! My designer for my blog has always been great. She is super reasonable and always helpful still to this day when I need something. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThe Roc products are all really great, and you can get them at the drugstore. I haven't tried their eye cream yet but I have both day and night moisturizers and I feel like they really make a difference. Also - plain old Vitamin E Oil is GREAT. You can get it for $5 - $10 (look for Pure Vitamin E Oil) and just dab it under your eyes (or all over your face) at night.
ReplyDeleteI'm searching for an eye cream too but hate the price tags. I've been using Burt's Bees Day moisturizer with clary sage and I've been loving it so I was thinking about trying their eye cream. Love the dress! And good luck with the hair decision. I never know what to do with mine!
ReplyDeleteI say come back to the dark side...with your hair that is. :) Love that outfit!
ReplyDeleteGo dark!! ;)
ReplyDeleteBoots No. 7 from target is good. Last a long time.
I love that outfit soooo much!!
I have been wearing eye glasses for 3589692 years, and I noticed the unfashionable bags under my eyes are getting dark. I knew that I should start using some eye cream or something, but because I'm such a worry wart I can't help but consult an Arizona eye doctor first. I found out that not all eye creams are safe, and the products would vary depending on what the issue is. If you really want to get the safest and most effective eye cream then I suggest consulting with a professional. It doesn't have to be an eye doctor; a dermatologist will be more preferable in your case. Oh, and for all its worth, Garnier's eye-roller worked for me. Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit!!!
ReplyDeleteI soo want a new blog design too!!! I've been trying to. Figure out how to do it myself lol
go blonder! perfect for Spring/Summer! (just so hard for the upkeep :/) And I love this dress! Only you could pull it off though.. I'd be scared to wear elephants.. you look so dang cute though!
ReplyDeleteOh and check out Tausha's new blog layout.. it's turned out cute! I'm not too fond of mine or I guess who i worked with but whatevs it was afforable!
