. . . the chance to build relationships and get to know other ladies in the blogging world.

Sybil from Peace it All Together.
Sybil is one of the sweetest ladies I've met through blogging.  So sweet, she even sent me a cookie gram last week.  I wish I had taken a picture but I ate it right away.  I am always encouraged when I read Sybil's blog.  She writes things that I can relate to like anxiety, body image and being still enough to hear God's voice.  Her posts are honest, encouraging and I love them!

Sara from The Hinton Hookup.

I've been getting to know and reading Sara's blog since the first few months I had mine.  I've found we have quite a lot in common.  Like a love for coffee, training for races, and shopping for bargains.  Sara recently moved to New Jersey and blogs about life adventures with her husband.  She is definitely one of those bloggers that is super sweet and easy to relate to and get to know!

Stephanie from Oh Baby Infinity.
I first found Stephanie's shop a few months ago from a giveaway and loved all her products!  Stephanie is so talented and makes the cutest things, from infinity scarves to personalized tote bags.   I am of course a huge fan of one of her new products, which are diapers bags. She has one in the similar elephant fabric I'm using in my nursery!

Sandra from Litva's Jewelry.

Sandra is another shop owner that I recently discovered and love!  This month I got lucky and won a pair of her beautiful earrings in a giveaway and can't wait to wear them.  Sandra certainly creates some gorgeous jewelry like her chandelier earrings and some really fun pieces like these feathered earrings.  And it's a bonus that she is so easy to work with and I've loved exchanging emails back and forth this month!

High Five for Friday

shirt: old navy   pants: H&M maternity  shoes: target

1. I had thought I'd wear a lot of belted shirts in the early pregnancy stage but due to the fact that the majority of my shirts don't fit my upper half, this is the first time.

2.  One of my students asked me in all seriousness, "So when are we going to name your baby?"  I had to break it to her that I wasn't really going to let my class choose a name.  (If you remember their first suggestion was Zorro.)

3.  I feel like the only recipes I post about are desserts.  I swear I eat dinner too.  I made these this week for our small group and they were SO good.  Of course Chris said they were one of the best desserts he's ever had.

4.  After many comments on this post I thought I definitely had an idea that was going to make me rich.  Turns out someone has thought of pretty much the same thing.  Thank you Allison for sharing this with me.  If it wasn't $90 I'd buy it and put it on my bed.

5. I'm was so excited to get some fabric that I ordered from fabric.com.  I love the colors! I am planning on using the elephant fabric for a crib skirt and maybe curtains.

This week has felt quite long, so I am very happy it is Friday! Hope you have a great weekend!

Bachelor Dream and a Life Lesson

scarf: gift    cardigan: walmart   pants: target maternity   shirt: shade clothing

I just realized that I posted an outfit picture with this scarf two days ago.  Oops.  What can I say? I really like it.

I also should tell you that I had a dream the other night that I was on the bachelor.  We were on a date by some mountains and the producers were trying to make me say that I was afraid of bugs and didn't want to climb up the mountain, even though that was not true.

Meaning of my dream:  the bachelor is staged.

Lesson to learn:  I wouldn't even care and would watch it regardless.  I am a loyal fan.

Another thing that I am a fan of is Jessah from Dreaming of Dimples.  Jessah is one of the bloggers I've connected with through the struggle of infertility.  Bloggers like her, that I've received support and encouragement from, have truly been the greatest blessing I've found since starting my blog.  She is honest, strong and beautiful and I'm so happy to share her with you today:

Happy Wednesday!
I'm Jessah from Dreaming of Dimples.
My blog is an extension of me. A space to share my life, my thoughts, and my talents. I blog to inspire and connect with this wonderful world of talented, amazing female bloggers. {that means you}

What you can expect to find on my blog is a true representation of my life. Not just the happiness and joy but the sadness and heartache as well. It is filled with the things I love, my struggles, things that motivate me and inspire me, my photography and any little adventure on my life’s path.

Here are 10 random things that y'all might like to know about me.
  1. I love pomegranates and eating them is practically the only thing I enjoy about winter.
  2. Puppies make me smile. {And if they don't make you smile, you might be broken. Just sayin'.}
  3. I'm an instagramaholic. My addiction happens here if you'd like to witness firsthand.
  4. The sun is my best friend. I love it more than anything. {I use protection. Don't worry. SPF30 to be exact.}
  5. I enjoy riding horses.
  6. I've got mad party planning skills. Check out three themed-parties that I hosted last year - Pinterest PartyFavorite Things and Sip & See
  7. I finished my first half marathon in October and think running has finally become a habit.
  8. I have an unhealthy obsession with alpacas.
  9. My marriage is in a constant state of growing and stretching so it can become the best version of itself.
  10. I've been (unsuccessfully) trying to have a baby for over four years and we openly share our infertility story here.

Winner will be contacted after the 17th.  Thanks for entering!

How I'm going to get rich

dress: target maternity    scarf: gap    boots: ?

I have always been a terrible sleeper, which I'm sure hoping isn't passed on to my daughter.
I could count on one hand the amount of times a year I sleep through the night.

Since being pregnant my sleeping has gone even more downhill and I attribute most of it to not being able to find a comfortable position since I always slept on my stomach.  Even with the use of body pillows I can not get comfortable on my side.

Which is why I'm convinced I need to invent a pregnancy mattress that has a hole in it, so your stomach can go in it.  It could even have different sections or wedges that can accommodate your growing belly.

In case you can't picture what I'm talking about, I thought it would be a good use of my time to draw one.

Now I'm pretty sure chiropractors and doctors would not support this invention, but I'm guessing that a good amount of pregnant woman would still buy it.  Which is why I think I could make some decent money if I sold them.  What do you think?  Any fellow stomach sleepers out there?

On Finding Out

dress: old navy ($8 this weekend)    scarf: gift from alison (ebay)     boots: old

This picture is funny to me because I don't think I look pregnant, but then I turn to the side and hello baby!

Ever since Chris and I got married we always talked about how much we wanted a daughter and would be completely content if we only had girls.  I was always so excited about the thought of girl clothes, girl activities and girl names.

If you would have asked me when we started trying to get pregnant, I would have told you that I wanted a girl.  After we had trouble getting pregnant I quickly had no preference and longed for a baby, boy or girl just the same.

At our 10 week ultrasound the technician said, although early, it definitely looked like a boy.  From that day on I pictured boy. And I was completely thrilled.  I pictured our baby a boy, starting thinking of boy nursery ideas, boy names and was so excited.

So when we went in for our 20 week ultrasound we were SO surprised when they said girl.

After our appointment I don't think I knew how excited I would be to be having a girl.  I couldn't even sleep that night.  Every time I woke up I just smiled, thinking about, picturing and dreaming about life with our daughter.  Our daughter.  Feels unreal to say.

I of course went to Target the next day and I honestly don't know if I have ever been more happy or excited.  I have bought baby clothes countless times, but picking out clothes for my daughter? It felt too good to be true.  I was honestly close to tears, as I was overwhelmed with excitement, tenderness, and joy.   I am so in love with this baby girl already.
