Help me!

jacket: target   dress: asos   tights: ?   boots: dsw

Three crucial questions for you.

1.  I am aware that I am not getting any younger.  The other weekend I had a conversation with my girlfriends about wrinkles, make up routines and skin care.  I am in desperate need of help in this area.  I'm thinking now it the time to start using anti wrinkle cream or eye cream or whatever you all use.  So tell me. What creams do you use?  (And if they cost more than $30 nevermind.  Don't tell me.  I'll take the wrinkles.)

2.  I am getting my hair done in two weeks and kind of want to do something new.  I would love to have blond blond hair, but for whatever reasons (hormones, hard water) my hair turns this coppery orange color after a few weeks of blond hair.  So I'm thinking of dying it darker again.  Do I keep it this length? Cut it? Help.

3.  I want a new blog design.  Something simplier.  Do you know a good, affordable blog designer you've used?  Tell me please!

Thank you!

Happiness is . . .

jacket: c/o wendybox    maternity jeans: ross     boots: dsw   necklace: c/o redenvelope

. . . a pair of $11 skinny maternity jeanss that I've worn three times last week because they are so comfortable.

. . . a baby crib that I walk by and look at multiple times a day and am filled with joy.

. . . a new personalized necklace that I am in love with from redenvelope.  I would like to wear it everyday and just may.

. . . an easy way to switch blogs you follow to bloglovin.  Login to bloglovin, click on claim your blog, click on import google reader blogs.  Done!  Thank you Kristin for telling me how easy it was!  And if you want to keep following my blog, click here.

. . . the chance to build relationships and get to know other ladies in the blogging world.

Sybil from Peace it All Together.
Sybil is one of the sweetest ladies I've met through blogging.  So sweet, she even sent me a cookie gram last week.  I wish I had taken a picture but I ate it right away.  I am always encouraged when I read Sybil's blog.  She writes things that I can relate to like anxiety, body image and being still enough to hear God's voice.  Her posts are honest, encouraging and I love them!

blog //  twitter // bloglovin

Sara from The Hinton Hookup.

I've been getting to know and reading Sara's blog since the first few months I had mine.  I've found we have quite a lot in common.  Like a love for coffee, training for races, and shopping for bargains.  Sara recently moved to New Jersey and blogs about life adventures with her husband.  She is definitely one of those bloggers that is super sweet and easy to relate to and get to know!

blog  //  twitter // instagram

Stephanie from Oh Baby Infinity.
I first found Stephanie's shop a few months ago from a giveaway and loved all her products!  Stephanie is so talented and makes the cutest things, from infinity scarves to personalized tote bags.   I am of course a huge fan of one of her new products, which are diapers bags. She has one in the similar elephant fabric I'm using in my nursery!

Sandra from Litva's Jewelry.

Sandra is another shop owner that I recently discovered and love!  This month I got lucky and won a pair of her beautiful earrings in a giveaway and can't wait to wear them.  Sandra certainly creates some gorgeous jewelry like her chandelier earrings and some really fun pieces like these feathered earrings.  And it's a bonus that she is so easy to work with and I've loved exchanging emails back and forth this month!

Loving Lately

Loving polka dots, colored jeans and boots.

jacket: c/o wendybox   pants: jcpenny  boots: dsw  top: old navy

Loving that next week the Bachelor and the Biggest Loser start.

Loving the little breaks I've taken from blogging this month.  It's been nice to spend less time on my computer and lots of time with my family.  BUT I am excited to get back to a regular schedule with posts, emails and reading other blogs.

Loving delicious looking meals, like this four cheese mac & cheese.  The recipe calls for white truffle oil, which I've never used before but I would like Chris to make it so I can eat it!

recipe

Loving my influenster box.

Quaker Oatmeal : I ate this for breakfast last week and it was really good.  I loved the dried cranberries in it.  And I felt healthy eating it!

Quikstyle brush:  This brush has microfiber bristles to help remove water and it definitely worked!

NYC Color Lipshine:  I am not a lipstick girl, so this was a perfect find.  Colored lipgloss.

Kiss Nail Dress: I haven't used this yet, but I am excited to. It says you can just peel on the nails and they should last a week.

Face Mask: I don't know that last time I used a face mask but will definitely use this at some point/

Loving that I while I am behind with the more New Years-ish post, I will have one next week.

Happy Wednesday friends!

It's OK

Photobucket
jacket: c/o wendybox    dress: target   boots: dsw

It's OK that I posted an outfit yesterday in these same boots.  I could wear them every day.

It's OK that the day I took these pictures it was ridiculously windy, which is why I am either holding my dress or my hair is in my face in every picture.

Photobucket

It's OK that the other day I went to Walgreens at 9 o'clock on a Sunday night and saw people checking out movies from redbox and my first thought was "Who would be renting a movie this late on a work night?"

You may ask why I was out "so late" on a work night.  Well, that's because I was on my way to sleep over at my parents because Chris was out of town.

and that's OK too.

It's OK that Chris thought I accidentally painted my one nail the wrong color.
(As if I could really do that on accident?)
And then laughed when I told him that doing that was actually trendy.

It's OK that he doesn't believe me.

It's OK that I am struggling this week to spend time on my computer, read blogs and respond to emails.  Hoping next week will be better!

High Five for Friday

Photobucket
pants and shirt: kohls   jacket and shoes: target

1. As a week full of many sick days, I'm thankful for some extra outfit pictures I haven't used, like this one.  Definitely beats showing you pictures of me in sweatpants.

2. Have you heard about the Boy Meets World Sequel? Apparently they are making a spin off with Cory and Topanga's daughter called Girl Meets World.  This was my favorite childhood show and yet another reason why I want cable!

Photobucket

3.  My sister in law made this tree skirt last week and am I super impressed.  I told her she needs to make one for me.

4.  The company My Memories Suite generously gave me a chance to review their scrapbook software and it came at perfect timing, as I was able to use some of our pictures from getting our Christmas tree.  I had so much fun playing around with all the different options.  It was really easy to figure out and I plan on using it a lot.

Years ago I made scrapbooks and did a few for our wedding, and dating years, but I love this so much more! You can make your own scrapbook and then print it from home or use their printing company to turn it into a book.  You can also make cards, videos, photo books and more!

Here's another one I made from our trip to the Dells in the Fall.

5.  And the best part is that My Memories wants to offer one of my readers a chance to use their product too.  Enter below for a chance to win!

My Memories Suite is also giving you a code to use towards $10 off the purchase of the My Memories Suite Scrapbook software and a $10 coupon for the MyMemories.com store!  Just use code: STMMMS16589

Hope you have a great weekend!

Fall Repeats

This outfit consists of my favorite recent fall loves:
colored denim, wedges, leather jacket and a scarf.

I made this scarf last year and am excited to wear it often this Fall and Winter.
This isn't like one of those projects I've made in the past that claim to be 30 minutes, but really take me over two hours.
This project is honestly an under 30 minute deal.
So easy that I'm reposting the directions from an earlier post.

Buy a piece of jersey/knit fabric. You need a fabric that is nice and stretchy.  (I bought two yards.)
Lay your fabric out on your floor and fold it in half so that shorter ends match up.
The outside of your fabric should be facing in. (although with some knit fabric is doesn't make a difference)

Pin it in place. (This is important since knit fabric is very stretchy.)
Sew the ends together.
Flip it inside out (or outside in technically?)

That is it!

I've also made one in yellow and I'm sure I'll make another one soon. I'm on the lookout for a floral print!

Happy Wednesday!

Random Wednesday

jacket: target (similar)  boots: dsw (similar)  dress: forever 21 (similar)

1.  All I want to do is wear these boots everyday.
So be prepared to see them multiple times a week.
I actually wouldn't mind wearing these boots every day too.
Adding them to my wish list.
2. Racquetball
I should really dedicate a whole post to this, because this has to be one of the most fun sports there is.
We played a few times while we were gone last weekend and laughed so much during it.

But by far the best was when Chris just started cracking up because he thinks he has a "funny bone" in his knee.  We're talking hunched over, uncontrollable laughter.  Then for about an hour after we played, it happened many times.  In his words "it's like a ghost tickling my knee."  He'd grab his knee and just couldn't stop laughing.

If only I had it recorded.

3.  While we were gone this weekend I made Chris take some outfit pictures for me.
I'm not quite sure why asking my husband to take pictures is embarrassing when I post them on the internet for hundreds of people to see.

Hope you are all having a good week!

A jacket, a friend and a giveaway

This jacket was one of those items that I bought ridiculously cheap on clearance and barely wore because I wasn't sure I liked it.  I am excited that I now love it and plan on wearing it all Fall.

I'm also exited because I get to share with you one of my sister's bests friends.
Jen and Lauren have been friends since college and anyone would be blessed to be friends with them.
They are the sweet, most loving and loyal friends.

Today I get to share with you Jen's etsy shop, Jen's Gifts.
Jen makes nursing covers, tag blankets, headbands and hair clips.
Here's a few of  her nursing covers:

Aren't they adorable?  I think this one is my favorite:

Nursing Cover Up- Burnt Orange

What's even more adorable are Jen's daughters.

This is Jen's oldest daughter, Annalynn, who has the most compassionate heart already!
She is organizing a fundraiser for her preschool group to raise money to buy a sheep through Heifer International.   In honor of Annalynn, Jen is currently donating 10% of all her sales to help her raise a sheep!

Jen is also giving all my readers a 10% discount to her etsy shop.  Just use code forlaurenandlauren  until Oct. 19th.

And the best news is that Jen is giving away one of her nursing covers to a lucky reader.
These would be a great gift for a mom to be or new mom!

Winner will be contacted after the 14th!
Good luck!

And congratulations to Jess for winning the teardrop necklace!
