It's OK

Photobucket
jacket: c/o wendybox    dress: target   boots: dsw

It's OK that I posted an outfit yesterday in these same boots.  I could wear them every day.

It's OK that the day I took these pictures it was ridiculously windy, which is why I am either holding my dress or my hair is in my face in every picture.

It's OK that the other day I went to Walgreens at 9 o'clock on a Sunday night and saw people checking out movies from redbox and my first thought was "Who would be renting a movie this late on a work night?"

You may ask why I was out "so late" on a work night.  Well, that's because I was on my way to sleep over at my parents because Chris was out of town.

and that's OK too.

It's OK that Chris thought I accidentally painted my one nail the wrong color.
(As if I could really do that on accident?)
And then laughed when I told him that doing that was actually trendy.

It's OK that he doesn't believe me.

It's OK that I am struggling this week to spend time on my computer, read blogs and respond to emails.  Hoping next week will be better!

High Five for Friday

chambray shirt: old navy (similar)  leggings: jcpenny  sandals: payless  necklace: ebay

1.  I already posted one outfit this week in these leggings, but here's another.
And I have to admit these are actually jeggings, but I am not a fan of that word.
So I'll probably not mention it again, and refer to them as leggings from here on out,
as I will be wearing them about once a week once the weather is cooler.

2.  Let's first acknowledge that my toenails look nicely painted, which rarely happens.
And secondly acknowledge that they match my necklace perfectly.

What could beat this face?

3. I am seriously missing my niece and nephew.  When Travis was saying goodbye to me last week he gave me the biggest bear hug and said "Goodbye Aunt Katie. I love you the most."
Seriously makes me heart happy but also breaks it too that he lives so far away.

4. I finally started watching season 3 of Pretty Little Liars and can't get over the fact that
a) those girls looks older than me
b) they dress nicer than me and
 c) admiring their clothes is one of the draws of the show.

Seriously.  How old are they?
I think her clothes are my favorite:

But really?
Who wears pink skinny jeans and heels to check out a empty house where there may be a murderer?

5.  Want to sponsor me in September?
I have lots of large and medium ad spaces left for only $5 or $10.
Read more here.

Hope you have a great weekend!

High Five for Friday

shirt: target  shorts: ?  shoes: tjmaxx

1. I've had these shorts for a really long time, but they used to be at least 10 inches longer.
really long shorts and really short legs = really unflattering
I almost got rid of them but decided to just cut them off instead.
I'm pretty happy about my new pair of shorts!

2. Ever since I made my neon shirt I've wanted more neon.
I got this shirt for $8 at Target last week and love it.
So much I wore it again this week.

3. I'm super happy about my new nail polish color.  I want jeans this color, but a $2 bottle of nail polish is much cheaper so it will have to do for now.

I only wish these were my nails.  Mine more resemble the doing of a seven year,
which is why I rarely do them.

4.  I made this orzo pasta salad a week or so ago and loved it.
Somehow cooking with orzo makes me feel fancy.

5.  Chris and I just finished watching the first season of 24 and are ready for season 2.
I love having a good show to watch episode after episode together.

Hope you have a great weekend!
