Some things you should know

1. My sister in law is adorable and thankfully listened to me when I told her she should start taking some outfit pictures so I could share them with you.

2. I have a miniature pet donkey named Norman.  (He lives at my parent's house).

3. I was really good at doing the splits when I was I was little.

4.  My brother, sister and I call my dad, Papa.

5.  I've always wanted to be one of the Fanta girls.  The only problem is that I can't sing, I'm not tall and I doubt they are even looking anymore.

6.  I ate my first toaster strudel today and it was delicious.  I would like to eat one. or two. every day.

Kaylin is adorable and has a blog that will definitely make you smile.  She blogs about her cute outfits, adventures, and "adult" life which she is learning is fun at times and not so fun at other times.  Whether it's about making lists, or a new perspective you'll love getting to know Kaylin.

You would know that the thought of wearing a turtle neck, scarf or anything around my neck used to freak me out.

You would know that it is rare that an hour goes by when I don't think about being pregnant. 

 You would know that patience is something I so badly need but struggle with - from small things like the internet loading to big things like waiting for God's timing.

You would know that I think that I have the best husband in the world.



You would know that I have a lot of insecurities, especially around big groups of people.

You would know that I can become too dependent on sticking to a routine.

You would know that I would almost always choose a night at home than anywhere else.

You would know that if I had three wishes one of them would be that my sister and her family lived close to me.

I'm at a loss of what to write about today, so . . .

Are you ready for some completely random facts? 

In high school I wore sweatpants or soccer shorts about 5 days a week.  Now I think I am just making up for lost time.  

 I love almost all reality TV shoes, but survivor is my favorite. 

I set two alarms every day I have to work because I'm afraid I won't wake up, even though I've never overslept. 

I love Ben Stiller and any movie he is - I'd marry him if I wasn't married to Chris. 

My toenails will be forever changed because of three marathons - but it was worth it!

I want to be a back up dancer for a rapper.  

One of my life goals is to be on the Price is Right. 

I hate the word "reimburse" and the phrase "it's all relative."

Chris is the only boy I've ever held hands with. 

I want to be one of the Fanta girls in the commercials, but I can't sing and am not tall with skinny legs.

I'd rather spend money on clothes than food any day. 

I use to say I wanted three weddings when I was younger (all to the same person) just to get married again.  And I kind of still do.  

I want to work in an orphanage at some point in my life and I'd like it to be in Jamaica.

Random Facts

I've been tagged from digdeeperdesign to share some random facts about myself.  Here are the rules:

1. Chris and I have been dating since I was 14.  He is the only boyfriend I've ever had and the only boy I've ever held hands with or kissed.  

2. I've ran the Chicago marathon twice.  Average temperature for it is about 45 degrees.  Both years that I ran it, it was above 94.

3.  I've secretly wished that I could be one of the Fanta girls.  But I can't really sing.  (As if that is the only thing stopping me.) 

4.  I consider my family my greatest blessing in my life. 

5. One of my life goals is to be on the Price is Right. 

6.  I have always wanted to adopt a baby from another country.  I'm still hoping that some day that is something that God gives us the opportunity to do.

9.  I love reality tv.  My favorite reality show is Survivor.  I honestly I have never missed one of the episodes of it yet, which I probably should be embarrassed to admit but I feel kind of proud. 

10. My favorite actor is Ben Stiller.  I would marry him if I wasn't married to Chris.

If I had to pick one, I'd say sushi.

That's really hard.  Probably not be able to hear anything.  (Without a doubt I know Chris would say the other)

3. What's your favorite song? 

I don't really have one.  "You and me" by Lifehouse was in our wedding, so I always think of our wedding when I hear it. 

4. What did you wan to be when you were little? 

a teacher (which I am!)

5.  What's your favorite holiday and why? 

It's a toss up between Thanksgiving and Christmas because I love all the traditions my family has for both. 

6. Something you are looking forward to? 

I'm looking forward to having a baby someday (hopefully soon!)

7. How do you eat oreos? 

I'm not a huge oreo fan.  I'd rather eat something sweet.  But I'd like them with milk. 

8. How do most people spell your name? 

Katie.  It's pretty simple. 

9. What's one of your biggest pet peeves? 

I have way too many of them.  But I hate it when people bite their nails or bite their teeth on their forks when they eat. 

10. Besides a house or car, what's the most expensive thing you've bought? 

Does college count?​

11. What's your dream car? 

I don't really care too much about cars.  As long as it gets good gas mileage and isn't hideous, I'd drive it.  : )
