Over here were just starting to get into a naptime routine or at least attempting one. I still hold Addilyn for a good amount of her naps, but most days she's at least getting the morning one down on her own, although some mornings it doesn't last too long. My sister doesn't give me much hope for naps improving for a long time, as sleeping is quite a struggle for my niece and nephew.
The other day she heard them talking to each other from their separate rooms and my nephew said to my niece, "I am in jail. You are in jail too. That's what nap time is. Jail for children. And we are going to be here for a long time."
If this in the case I would love be put in jail for a few days at least.
Jail time, haha! That is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI didn't attempt "naps on their own" with my kids until they were around three months. Hoping Addilyn will start giving you a little more hands-free time soon...even though cuddles are so nice. Love your sweatshirt ;)
ReplyDeleteit does get better, with my both kids they have been a good sleeper. Even my toddler he takes about 2-3 hour naps and go to bed at 10 at night

it is so hard getting them to sleep! i have no experience with a baby of my own, of course, but having worked in the infant room at preschool - eek! naps can be tricky. but i love your outfit! i have been wanting to wear a maxi skirt but wasn't sure how to style it for fall! this is adorable :)
ReplyDeleteHA! If that's what jail is all about, sign me up!
ReplyDeleteHilarious!!!
ReplyDeleteIts so funny to hear what kids say when parents aren't around.
ReplyDeleteI love the combination of stripes with a vibrant colour. It's so adorable to hear how little Addilyn is going!
ReplyDeleteI love it when little kids use the word "children". It sounds so grown-up!
ReplyDeleteI think my Mom was occasionally slightly jealous of people with kids who napped, because from infanthood, all 7 of us were unnaturally energetic, we never took naps as toddlers. We slept at night, we just didn't sleep during the day.
ReplyDeleteaww thats so cute :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, that is too funny! Ironic how kids hate naps and then when you're an adult you learn to truly appreciate them :)

ReplyDeleteHahaha Jail... That's hilarious. We are starting to get a little better with Anabelle taking naps herself, but I'm still not expecting anything solid here for a while. Just still trying to get anything I can done while she is sleeping...

ReplyDeleteHahaha!! Kids are so cute! Doesn't it make you excited for the future to see what Addi will say? (But of course, the idea breaks our momma hearts at the same time!)
ReplyDeleteWish I had some advice for nap time! Mia's always been a great sleeper! (Reason #2389732 I'm scared to have another baby. They can't be good sleepers twice in a row!)
That is hilarious! I don't even have kids but me too!
