Double Denim

top: jcpenny   jeans: old navy   shoes: ?   necklace: old navy

I feel like its much fewer and farther between these days that I find an outfit that I really like.  The biggest part of that is due to the fact that my day to day far requires me to get dressed for real, and I spend so much less time getting ready.  But this outfit I really like.

I know I've read people who say that getting dressed for the day regardless of if they are going anywhere, makes them feel more energized and ready for the day.  While a shower may do that for me, I have to say if I'm staying home there is no way I am getting dressed in jeans or "real clothes."

I know denim and denim is old news and I'm late to the game.  But this statement necklace? I got it at Old Navy for $2 way before statement necklaces were "in" so I was at least ahead of the game in something.

What's your most recent favorite outfit?

1,000 ways to annoy your spouse

dress: pink blush maternity ($15)   necklace: pink rust ($13)

Awhile ago Chris and I were talking about what we would title a book if we wrote it.  I jokingly (okay, not 100% jokingly) told him he could title his 1,000 ways to annoy your spouse.

I do have to say that pregnancy hormones thankfully haven't made me more irritable at Chris' annoyances, but maybe that is because I'm not sure my tolerance for annoying noises could be any worse.

I was watching Friends the other day and couldn't stop laughing at this scene where Rachel is overdue with their baby and is incredibly annoyed at Ross.

I feel like this is a conversation Chris and I have had too many times to count.  Let's just hope that while I'm in labor I'm not extra annoyed and irritable, but I'm making no promises.  And Chris should also probably get some award for putting up with my many annoyances.

I hope you are having a great week!  Maybe I should've waited one more day to post this outfit as it would be perfect for the 4th of July!

DIY Polka Dot Tee

shirt: shade clothing - DIY polka dots    pants: walmart   necklace: old navy  shoes: target

I'm pretty sure I've developed a slight obsession with polka dots.  I love to wear them and am filling baby girl's room with them.

I followed this tutorial and I used the same spray can top that I used for these canvases to make my dots.  I've become pretty good at making these polka dots.   I didn't do the back like she did or the sleeves and can only chalk that part up to a little laziness and not wanting to make any more polka dots.  The front is way more important anyway, right?

Every once and awhile I feel the need to tell you how much everything cost in my outfit, so here it is:

maternity tee: $4
pants: $10
wedges: $6
necklace: $3

I should probably do it more often and maybe someone would hire me as their personal shopper.

Dear Lauren in Law,

dress & necklace: old navy  shoes: target

I remember you wore your dress like this when I picked you up from the airport after your honeymoon.
I don't know why it took me this long to try it!

Thank you for doing so many fun things with me this last week.

 A weekend in Wisconsin

Now I know that sometimes you think that I act too old and boring because I like to go to bed early and like to be home, but I'm pretty sure you have to give me some props for the last week.

I'm quite proud of myself for riding an ATV, attempting to knee board, tubing, riding a wave runner and jumping off a boat.

Thank you for helping me embrace my young self.

And don't you want to win $20 in Starbucks gift cards, $15 to Target, a rosette necklace and lots of ad space?
Then make sure to enter my  July giveaway this week!

Dear Lauren and Lauren,

dress: discovery (worn here)  shirt: jcpenney  necklace: old navy

It figures that my Laurens not only share a name,
but have birthdays within two days of each other.

Dear Lauren,

I know I say this often but you are truly my best friend.   I am so thankful to have a sister that I can laugh with, talk about anything to, and get encouragement and advice from.  I'm thankful that we share a love of coffee, blogs, Target trail mix, shopping, clearance clothes, and desserts.

I admire the kind of friend, mother and woman of God you are.  You are one of the greatest blessings in my life and I am beyond thankful for our relationship.

Dear Lauren in Law,

I couldn't be happier with the woman my brother married.  Not only did he get lucky, but our family did too!  I love your sweet, funny and loving personality.  I am beyond happy that you live 5 minutes from me and can't wait to spend time more time with you.

I admire you for your outgoing personality, your humor and your attitude.  I am so lucky to have an amazing sister in law who I know will be one of my closest friends.

Happy birthday Lauren and Lauren.  I love you both SO much and know I am one lucky sister!

Love,
