Hail to the mom jeans

blazer: tjmaxx    tee & pants: old navy   flats: target

It's been awhile since I've attempted to wear super low cut jeans.  Even before I was pregnant, I learned quickly as I entered adulthood that constantly pulling up your pants or showing your underwear is not attractive.  But I still wore many pants that sat on my hips.

That is no longer the case.  Thanks to always sitting on the ground, constantly bending over and the main reason: having a much "softer" midsection thanks to pregnancy, low cut jeans are not my friend.
I had yet to find a good pair of high waisted, skinny jeans.

That is until last weekend.  Thanks to a $5 coupon for trying on a pair of pants that lured me in, I found my new favorite pair of jeans.  Which were only $19, plus $5 off.  I probably should've bought them in another color.

I am way overdue for going through my old jeans and getting rid of the many pairs that are way too low and don't fit. I'm pretty sure I will be wearing high waisted mom jeans from here on out.

Confessions

I confess that this is the first pair of full panel maternity pants I've worn and I love them.  I don't understand why some women try not to buy or wear maternity clothes.  They are SO comfortable and were only $10!

I confess that I always want to pin these healthy dessert recipes but then I click on the recipe and see ingredients like agave syrup, raw cashews and cacoa nibs?  Nevermind.  I'll stick with my cheap, known unhealthy ingredients.

Like this dessert that I want to make.  Hey it does have bananas in it? Healthy right?

I confess that I want to buy everything on groopdealz.  I just bought this necklace yesterday and can't wait to get it.

I confess that I just finished re-watching all of the Hills episodes and am a little sad that it is over.  However, I won't miss watching their rich tan selves and all their vacations.

I confess that I know our sweet baby's gender!!  We just have to tell Chris' parents and I will share it with you!

I am ready to go shopping!

And I confess that I already have a little.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Doubling Posting

sweater: kohls   jeans: gap   scarf: giveaway from    shoes: target

I don't know what I was thinking sharing two outfits yesterday in one post because I'm now left with nothing new to share with you today. So I am here, sharing the same outfits.  But that post really had nothing to do with my outfit, so I'm going to count it as acceptable.

And I can't imagine letting a good outfit go to waste these days, as it is getting harder in the morning to find something that I am (a) comfortable in and (b) doesn't look awkward.

Don't be fooled by these pictures.  My pants aren't buttoned in either one.

I am anxiously awaiting the cute pregnancy stage and not this awkward middle stage.  It took me an embarrassing amount of time to get dressed today and sadly my outfit was far from cute or impressive.

I don't plan on sharing one of these every week, as I am thinking there may not be big differences each week, and while it does consume my hourly thoughts I don't want this blog to be overload on pregnancy updates.  But I will share one every few weeks.  Here's last weeks:

Hope you are having a good week so far!

Boys & Superheros

jeans: JCP (similar)  blazer: tjmaxx (similar) wedges: target (similar)

Last weekend Chris and I watched The Avengers.
He had already seen it but was excited to watch it again.
I have to say that it was pretty funny and I did enjoy it,
but what I enjoyed way more was watching and hearing Chris enjoy it.
Something about the flying, fighting and transforming into superheros made it appear that this was quite possibly one of the best movies he's seen.

Here's just a few of his comments during the movie:
(and add is many spurts of serious laughter in between these)

They just killed that and it was nothing.

He's like a hundred times his size.

Look - He's just flying around killing all of them.

I love the hulk Katie!

I love all these guys so much.

Look how angry he is.

Watch! Watch! Look at that.

And hulk smash.

Did you see that? You're missing this.

This part is really funny. Watch this. It's my favorite part.

Aren't you so happy Kate?

Must be something about boys and superheros . . . .

p.s.  This is my first collage using three pictures.  Is three of me too many?
I think maybe.

Oh and if you haven't entered Amanda's August giveaway you should!
I'm giving away a large ad space!
