six more days

polka dot top: c/o shein   sandals: c/o shein

Six more school days left and we have a first grader in our house! I can't believe our first year of real school is over.  I'm excited for summer and want to really enjoy it, as next Fall we'll transition to full day school and even Isaac in preschool two days a week.  Now if only our weather would cooperate and give us some sunshine!

This top is only $6 and is super cute.  I got a medium and wish I would've gotten a small, as it's a little big in the chest area.  But I feel like with any bandeau or bralette, it'd be fine.  Or with a cardigan or blazer over it.  My sandals are only $12 and I love them!  My toes rarely look good, so guess it's a good time to share them.  ;)

Hope you had a great weekend and a good start to your week!

sunflower dress and happy things

dress: c/o shein
I'm working harder lately on recognizing and repeating things I'm grateful for.  I've read and listened to more and more things talking about your mental state drastically changing and affecting your physical state, and how slowing down and being grateful, even just slower breathing can make a huge impact in how you feel.  Not really new news, but I think with my recent health stuff I'm even more motivated to do what I can to feel better, physically and emotionally.  And also sometimes when your body feels crappy it's easy to just be in a crappy, frustrated mood.  But I'm naming things I'm thankful for multiple times during the day.  Today it's warm sunshine, walks around my driveway while my kids play, teaching classes at the gym, a dentist for my kids that they love, and clothes that make me happy.  What are you grateful for today?

considered a neutral - yah or nah?

top: c/o  shein  jeans: old navy  shoes: payless

I used to think anything leopard print was too "loud" for me, but now I'm closer and closer to on board that it's considered a neutral.  Maybe too far, but I own multiple leopard print things that I'm a fan.  With things I feel a little unsure about I will only buy if they are pretty cheap.  Which sometimes mean they don't last as long of course, but worth it if I'm not positive how much wear I'll get out of them.  Like these mules.  $10 from payless, and I felt unsure when I bought them last year, but now love them!  This tee is under $10 too, so if you're unsure about leopard now is your chance.  ;)
