Give me your healthy snack ideas!

In an effort to find some relief from some of my joint pain and inflammation I'm trying an anti inflammatory diet, not eating gluten, dairy and sugar.  I'm a little over one week in and it has gotten a little easier, but I sure do miss a few things.  That handful of chocolate chips or chocolate covered banana I'd eat after bedtime, or my greek yogurt and granola, or a glass of wine!  Thankfully meals haven't been too hard overall, as I had been eating pretty healthy and "clean" foods, and I've found a ton of good recipes online.  But I would love any good snacks or "treats" that you've found.  Those things are what I am struggling with the most!

What I am big on is seeds --especially sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds. Both have magnesium in them which is good for you because the basic diet has very little magnesium in it.
For me it helps me and calms me to have these things at the ready. I have a container in the car and in the house. I know you said you were off sugar too but Trader Joe's has chocolate covered sunflower seeds and I mix all of these together more of the plain raw sunflower and pumpkin seeds and then a few of the chocolate covered seeds in just as a little treat.

Something else is to get grapes and put them in the freezer and it has sweet and cold and just the extra treat that you might need.

There are also some waters called Hint that have the essence of fruit--no calories, no sugar and I drink those. I am not a pop drinker or an ice tea drinker.

Hey Katie! I’m also supposed to be doing an anti-inflammatory diet... and my doc says 70% dark choc (which she recommends GMO free and all that) is ok for a treat
