Addilyn's Nursery

crib: amazon  rug: ikea   curtains: diy

I had full intentions of sharing Addilyn's nursery before she got here as it's been done for quite awhile, but never managed to take pictures.  Which I'd like to add that I need some lessons in taking better pictures.

Working on her nursery was so much fun and I loved being able to make so much of it.  I spent so much time thinking about what she would look like and be like the whole time I was making all her things. While she doesn't sleep in here yet, we are just starting to spend more time playing on the floor and I know we'll soon be in there lots.

glider and dresser: amazon   elephant canvases: diy

lanterns and puff balls: party city    elephant mobile: etsy (gift)

toy basket: hobby lobby (labels:diy)    bookshelf: target   bins: home depot

buckets: target dollar spot     trash can: world market

canvas: easycanvas   lamp: diy

My grandma made those little bears when her kids were little and I love that I get to put them in my baby's room.   The letter A, pink vase, and green sign were all gifts and I love that they fit so perfectly in her room.

wall decal: etsy (I painted the birds green)     bedskirt, blanket & pillow: diy

Do you think she needs any more clothes?  We're so lucky to have been given so many hand me downs from Chris' cousin.  I'm pretty sure Addilyn could go without wearing the same thing twice.  Lucky girl!!

Never Have I Ever

blazer: c/o sammy dress     bag:  c/o sammydress    pants:  H&M maternity   wedges: target

owned a chiffon blazer until now.  I am in love with this one and you can own it for only $7.00.

bought Chris clothes online, but I recently came across these men's jeans that I wouldn't mind him owning.

had an easy time passing up a dessert, like this peanut butter cup banana bread I made this week for small group.  Chocolate, peanut butter and bananas are always a win for me.

expected to find this on our amazon wish list: cross bow and arrows.  They fit nicely next to our baby dressers.
Are you really wanting to buy these Chris?

loved a sewing project as much I love the blanket I made this week for our baby girl.

Thank you Whitney for this post idea!  Hope you're having a good week!

Getting more and more used to looking down and seeing this bump.

Watching The Hart of Dixie on Netflix.  It is somewhat satisfying my need for a teen drama.

Thrilled that I don't have to work this week.  I plan on more mornings like this and and afternoons working on things like this:

Thankful that I got to spend Friday night and Saturday with one of my best friends Brittany.  We've been friends since freshman year of college and despite her living in Indiana her friendship is one of the most important to me.

Thankfully both of us have matured a little since college, along with our wardrobe choices.

Loving the gifts she made for our baby girl.  She sells her stuff at a store close to her and on facebook.  She is so talented and I can't wait until our baby girl can wear these.

Happy Tuesday!

High 5 for planning

tank top: old navy   sweater: kohls   pants & wedges: target

1. This looks practically identical to an outfit I just posted.  Maroon pants and polka dots.  These may be the only pair of non maternity pants that are still comfortable so I intend to wear them often.

You can believe that before I knew what we were having I was already busy pinning ideas and planning for our baby girl or boy.  So my next four things are things that I am loving for our baby!

2. After making my elephant stuffed animal and elephant canvas, I just ordered this fabric to make a crib skirt.  Then I may have reached my elephant limit.

3. I love how this closet is organized and love the tree wall decal:

4. I think the idea of turning an ultrasound into a canvas is so neat, and want this light green color in the nursery.

5. And I am also excited for baby showers, which means baby shower invitations.  I recently found the company tiny prints, which has all things baby and kids.  Meaning I will be checking it out for birth announcements too! There are so many cute options, but I think these are two of my favorite invitations:

elephant invite                                                                              owl invite

Speaking of baby showers, that means registering! Chris and I are planning on starting this weekend and I am a little overwhelmed!  Feel free to tell me your favorite few things that I should register for!

Hope you have a great weekend!!

Random Wednesday

dress: forever 21   necklace: gift    cardigan: old navy   boots: dsw

Thank you SO much for all your excitement, comments and congratulations when we announced we're having a girl! We really couldn't be more excited!

Despite my closed eyes I'm still sharing this picture. In honor of Dr. Suess' birthday my team dressed up as the "things" and even baby Vale got to participate.  I lost my shirt from last year, so I wore this instead.
I finished my first baby room project. After seeing this adorable print on pinterest I wanted to copy.  I used a canvas that I already had, drew the elephant and used the top of a spray can to make the dots.  I had to use the paintbrush to go over many missed spaces and to even out the circles.

These are the colors we're planning on using for the room. I can't wait to hang it and add two others to each side.  Now to decide what to put on them!

Hope you're having a good week!
