. . . for Lauren and Lauren: Easy Access

August 26, 2013

Easy Access

romper: old navy   shoes: target

I didn't anticipate the challenge of getting dressed after pregnancy in regards to finding outfits that are easy to nurse in.  I was looking forward to wearing a lot of my summer dresses but unless I want to sit and nurse in pretty much my underwear, they don't work so well.

I think I will be wearing a lot more shorts, skirts and pants than before.  Thankfully this romper is perfect with the buttons down the front.  I may be needed more shirts with easy access like this one. :)

i love rompers! any excuse to wear them is okay in my book :) this denim one is adorable! you should get this one from forever21! i recently purchased it, too. it buttons down the front and isn't nearly as short as it looks (i promise!).

I remember this dilemma so well. I didn't have that problem with my first. Since she was born in January, I didn't wear many dresses in the winter. But, my other two were born in the spring and I had a hard time finding appropriate nursing outfits. Too bad rompers like this weren't in style then. You look great!!

Love that romper!

I'm the biggest fans of rompers. I just think they are so comfy!

Those sandals are my favorite. I'm so tempted to get another one that way if my current ones get too much wear I have backup. Yeah, obsessed much?

I completely agree - I feel like figuring out nursing outfits is even harder than pregnancy outfits! Can't remember if you saw my post on nursing wardrobe essentials...if not, it might be helpful. :)

i LOVE this outfit! And yes, I think it is a lot harder dressing for nursing than it was for pregnancy... I can't wait to wear dresses again :)

I can totally relate!! 9 1/2 months later and it's still a challenge getting dressed everyday. I don't normally go for strapless pieces but they've been a lifesaver this summer! I LOVE that romper...and you look amazing, little momma! :)

Exactly! I never anticipated that either.
I wish I had a romper like that when Micha was just an itty bitty baby and nursing all the time!
You're such a stylish mommy!

Yes, my Mom always said she didn't wear dresses for about 12 years because most of them you can't nurse in!

This romper is adorable! I probably would have never thought about wearing proper clothes for nursing had you not mentioned it! I will definitely have to keep that in mind for the future. Any excuse to shop! ;)

Tell me about it! I didn't BF my first, so, doing it the 2nd go 'round was all new territory for me, and I quickly changed what I was able to wear...not only in public, but at home! Even a t-shirt isn't "easy access," really. I pretty much live in tank tops (with some give, of course) and shorts/yogas...haha. Oh, the mom life. :)

Love those sandals! I want to wear mine everyday! haha..and that romper..I WISH Old Navy still had it! Perfect for the Summer :)

Jessica said... Best Blogger TipsBest Blogger Templates

I hear ya girl! I've realized now how handy my "criss cross in the bodice area" dresses are for nursing! I just wear a cami under them and pull one half aside. Lifesaver!

You look so cute in the romper!!! :-) I'm sure dressing for breastfeeding is tough! It certainly limits what you can wear!

This is such a cute look! I love how you added the neon/bright scarf for summer :)

Nicole @ Haute Runner said... Best Blogger TipsBest Blogger Templates

Cute outfit! I had the exact same dilemma- I found dressing for nursing far more difficult than dressing for pregnancy. And dressing for pregnancy was hard enough!

As we got better at nursing, I found that wearing shirts/dresses that had stretchy necklines gave me a few more options since I could pull down instead of reaching up. There wasn't also not all the bulky fabric at my neck.
