Adding One
dress: kohls (so many years ago)
I'm adding one to my 12 by 30 list. So make that 13 by 30.
I really have no idea how to apply makeup. In the summer I usually just wear mascara. If I'm going to a wedding or something nice I will wear eye shadow and maybe blush, but honestly I'm not even sure you can tell tell the difference, as I have no idea the right makeup for my skin or how to apply correctly.
So I want to learn. Tell me the best way to do that. Go to a makeup counter at a mall? A salon? Is it really expensive?
Tell me your makeup learning ways please.

I want to learn this too. :-)
I love Bobbi Brown's book Makeup Manuel! But, there are lots of tutorials on Pinterest and you tube as well. I personally am not a fan of makeup counters as they are trying to sell their products!!
Sorry, I never wear makeup.
A lot of spas have "makeup application" lessons. Where they will put makeup on half of your face to show you how to do it. Then they will have you do the other side.

I definitely do not know how to do makeup. I hope you share what you learn with the rest of us.
I'm bad at this too! I wish I was like you and didn't have to wear much makeup, ever since I was pregnant with Seth I had some bad breakouts and have to cover up. But I definitely not good at it. Let me know what you find out!
YouTube videos: really! Here are my favorites (just search them and they have make up tutorials in their video playlists): Tanya Burr, Zoella, Eleventh Gorgeous, Miss Glamorazzi, Anna Saccone. They have taught me so much about make up application and the different products out there! I know NOTHING about make up but now I have a better idea!
I actually have gotten a lot of my knowledge from makeup tutorials on Youtube! That and lots and lots of practice! ;) Although since Selah has been born I usually only wear makeup on Sundays for church! lol
Try youtube.. look up Jaclyn Hill and Nicole Guerriero. They have great tutorials and have great tips... from there you can find some others that aren't so dramatic and may-be more your style.. I only use 2 make up brushes and can complete nearly the same look as they do while using 10-15 brushes! I tend to buy my foundation at a counter in the mall because they will match me right there..
I'm the same way..I love watching Jaclyn Hill on Youtube, although she uses much more that I would probably ever feel comfortable wearing...or buying! But she's got some great tips! Good luck!
There are some awesome tutorials on youtube that show you how to wear makeup. I love to watch those. And you can wear expensive department store makeup or drug store makeup - its all abut preference. One of my all time favorite eye shadows is a CoverGirl product that I started using in college. I wear that along with some Clinique and Mary Kay products, so I mix price points just based on preference and what I want to try. (And I have to admit, when I say your title of this post I thought you were saying you were pregnant!)
I agree with many of the other comments that YouTube is really great for tutorials since you can see step by step what to do!

Love your dress!!!!!!! You should go to Sephora and get your face done. They are fantastic and can show you a great day look.

A lot of makeup counters will do your makeup for free and give you tips (but some do have a minimum purchase requirement so check first)! Sephora is also a great way to get tips and tricks for applying makeup! The girls there are always so helpful!
I agree with some of the others with YouTube videos. Another way is if you know someone who sells Mary Kay (or some other direct sales), or you can go to their website to find some one near you, but they will can give you makeovers and show you how to do it. :)
If you can't tell the difference, that means you don't need makeup because you are beuatiful without it!!! However, I know there are a ton of youtube tutorials out there!
I need to learn too. I do the same for work, weddings, groceries. ;)

I would recommend a makeup counter. There is always the option of looking for drugstore dupes on the net if the makeup is not in your budget. That is what I do.
YouTube and blogs have been really helpful for me. I like Mascara blog and Kandee Johnson. I'm no expert but I think I do a decent job and I don't have to spend a ton of time on it
I learned how to put on makeup at a Bare Escentuals counter! They were incredibly helpful and made it look so easy (and it really was easy!). If it weren't for that, I probably never would have known how to properly put on makeup...or find the right tones for my skin.
This is in my list too!!! I'm not sure it will get done by 30!!
