I Couldn't live without . . . . blog friends
When I think about some of the friendships I've made the last few years, it's still amazes me that there are a handful of girls that have become truly close friends that I've never met in person. Alison and Jennifer were two friends who went through fertility treatments the same time I did and we emailed back and forth sometimes many times a day. Updated each other on our treatments, symptoms, feelings, and then our pregnancies. I don't know what I would've done without them. Lindsay and Molly have been great because our girls are the same ages and we can text about motherhood, encourage each other and ask for prayer. I wish I was Whitney's neighbor so we could have playdates, hang out and could eat all her delicious baked goods. Liz has become one of my best friends this last year. I actually got to meet her last year on our family vacation and she is coming to visit us in two weeks! Flying out here just for us and I can't even wait for four days together! Probably the biggest blessing from having this blog has been the friendships that have come out of it. I am so thankful for these girls.
Sometimes I get sad because blogging is definitely not the same that it was a few years ago. I felt like there was a bigger, more involved community with more comments, emailing and interaction. That is one of the reasons I was excited to start this link up with Lindsay. I've enjoyed finding a few new blogs and reading some already favorites. I love when I get a sweet email from a reader or a new comment on my posts.
So, I was really excited to get to know Kylie, who is pretty new to the blogging world. Kylie is a middle school counselor, a Midwesterner moved to Florida, and just got married three weeks ago. She blogs over at Counselor with a Cape and writes about life as a school counselor, but also other randoms about her life. Which is my favorite kind of blog. Real life, and getting to find ways you relate to each other! Like treating her dog like her baby. Check our her blog and follow her on instagram @kylieliddle9. I know she's excited to make some new blogging friends!

I hear so many bloggers say that they have found such good friends through blogging. I think that is awesome! I am always tempted to try blogging but I don't think I'd have anything too interesting to say haha. As for the comments, honestly, I still do it maybe half the time. It somewhat discourages me when I often get no response from bloggers. I understand everyone is busy and it isn't realistic to respond to every comment, but after several comments with no response, it just feels like I'm talking to myself and so why bother? I do get a kick out of getting responses, probably like bloggers do out of getting comments. :)
@Kim A Kim!! I emailed you back just now but don't think you can get my responses because your setting is set to nonreply commenter. You can change this in your profile and click add email! I hope you see this! I love and appreciate it when you comment on my blog!
I hear you, girl! I feel like you are one of my blogging friends that has stuck around: a few others too that are also connected through Instagram, so although we live states and miles apart, we still catch up and see what each other is up to! SO fun! And I agree, this link-up is a great opportunity to build community and bring back the comment/follow/connection that blogging once had. I have 211 followers, but only about 30+ reads and usually about 1-3 comments. What?! We can improve that!
I don't have any blogging friends that turned into real life friend. Sadly! That's because I live in a middle of no where basically haha
Happy Medley Blog
LOVE this. and LOVE making blogging friends.! :) :) :)
Awwwwww thank you, Katie!! I would LOVE to be your friend and neighbor. I have no doubt that our girls would have a blast together and we would too. I've loved getting to know you since before you were pregnant with Addilyn. I really enjoy your blog and love hearing about life at your house. Maybe one day we'll get to meet IRL :)
Yay for blogging friends. I always find I'm so awkward when meeting new people that I talk to a lot but have never met...
Those emails seem like just yesterday, seriously, don't know how I would have made it emotionally through that with out you. No one in my circle was going through what I was at the time; the fears, the anxiety, all the ups and downs. How have we not met yet by the way?! We're not that far away!! I blame my job but seriously, we need to looking into getting together this summer or something!
AGREE!! I do not know what I would have done without you. I still say that to Justin. Even though we have ever met I consider you one of my closest friends. I just wish we were closer in distance.
