. . . for Lauren and Lauren: photo canvas and a mini diy

photo canvas and a mini diy

I was so in love with our newborn pictures that it took me forever to decide which ones I wanted printed on canvases.  Which I guess is a good problem to have right?

I finally picked which ones but it took me so long to decide which sizes to get.  Tell me I am not alone in letting things sit in a cart online for days and then change your mind and have the news ones sit for days and on and on for too long?

Chris eventually just made me order them because I was asking him way too many times what he thought.  I originally thought about making my own as I've seen many good looking diy canvases, but figured after buying the canvases and the prints I would still be spending a decent amount of money and I'd rather spend a little more and have them look really good since they'd be hanging in our living room. Plus I knew I'd be ridiculously upset if I managed to mess something up.

I ordered these from easy canvas prints, were I also got this one and this one from.  They always have really good coupons and deals.  Each of these 16 x 16 prints were only $20 (but then $20 each for shipping), which was a lot cheaper than other places.  And they look awesome!

I wanted to hang the canvases with something like these wooden knobs from pottery barn but did not want to pay $24 each.

So I went to home depot and found these wooden stair post tops.  They were only $5 each and we just used deck finish to paint them.  (And forgot to take a picture first but I'm sure you can imagine them looking lighter wood color can't you?)

I just used mounting tap to hang up the knobs and then hung up the canvases with a nail.  So they aren't really hung by the rope.  Tricky, huh?

I absolutely love how it turned out.  And Addilyn actually loves it too.  We've tried at least five times and each time I hold her up to them she smiles, laughs and talks to them.

Love it. So smart w/ nailing them up and using the peg as decoration. I wouldn't have paid $24 at PB either. That is crazy!!!

LOVE! I have been thinking about ordering some nice (old) prints of my husband and our son for him, and I guess add baby A in there too, Lame Xmas present maybe, but we'll enjoy it.

Oh my gosh I love them! And your less expensive version of the wooden knobs are great. Black and white family photos are the best!

This is such a great idea! I love finding DIY's that end up being so much cheaper than the inspiration. And for the record, your baby girl is gorgeous! I love those newborn photos of her.

Those canvas prints are beautiful! My husband surprised me with a canvas print on our wedding day (a picture of him proposing that I didn't know was taken!) I absolutely love that he had it made on canvas. I love how you hung yours, I might have to try that. :)

I can't believe at first that an incredible canvass like that could be very cheap. It got me really curious and interested. I love what they did with the photo canvass. This is really going to be memorable. :)

Ooooo. I really like the idea of the knobs to hold up the canvas. I'm pinning this for sure.

Photo Canvas Collage prints are the ideal way to display lots of your stunning images without buying masses of bulky picture frames or cluttering up the house. With the use of smartphones and readily available digital cameras, we have become a nation of amateur photographers, using Instagram to capture our favourite moments. Out of this we now have some incredible photographs we are sure to treasure forever; the problem is there are just too many of them, making the task almost impossible when
choosing images to display in our homes
