The other day I spent multiple hours baking some holiday goodies with my friend Rebecca. Our house was filled with a large amount of desserts to which I was thoroughly enjoying a little too much.
Chris on the other hand, apparently not so much. After dinner the next night he sat down on the couch with a handful of Oreos. I asked him why he would be eating Oreos when there are three delicious homemade desserts to choose from, to which he told me he'd rather have Oreos.
He could not understand why I would be offended until I told him that would be like him spending a few hours making this fancy, real dinner (like he did that night) and me looking at it and taking out a box of macaroni to eat instead because I "like the taste better."
Often I fail at analogies when I'm trying to prove a point but this one he understood. While he did apologize I told him I am never making desserts again and am just going to buy him a $3 box of Oreos instead.
Except we all know that isn't true because I really bake so I can eat them all myself.
